Couldn’t be happier after 5 years of struggle and acceptance at a second lease on life, I finally got something I can wear proudly that signifies my second chance. Today was the 5 year anniversary of the day I nearly died in a major car accident. There’s so many things I could say, but I just want to thank anybody and everybody that’s supported me the last 5 years. I wouldn’t be here without so many different people these last 5 years, and honestly I think that would be a shame considering how lucky I was to walk away from that horrific experience.

Starting over doesn’t imply forgetting. It means healing and coming to terms with everything. It means doing the work. It means learning healthy coping mechanisms and communicating with others. It means being satisfied with yourself, or even better, having strong self worth. It means if you want something to happen, you can make it happen.
